Raise money for your Student Organization during Glow Big Red!

Glow Big Red offers Husker students a unique chance to raise funds that will go directly back to your student organization. We encourage you to utilize social media to spread the word and reach out to alumni, other students, parents, friends, professors and anyone else you can recruit to support your group’s efforts.

All student groups who participate will compete to win bonus dollars for their organization:

Student groups:

•    $500 will be awarded to the group with the most donors by noon on Feb. 15.
•    $500 will be awarded to the group with the most dollars raised by noon on Feb. 15.
•    $250 to a randomly selected student group that registers to participate by Feb. 2.
•    The top 5 student groups who achieve 25 or more donors will earn an additional $200.
 
Greek Chapters:
•    $500 will be awarded to the Greek Chapter with the most donors by noon on Feb. 15.
•    $500 will be awarded to the Greek Chapter with the most dollars raised by noon on Feb. 15.
•    $250 to a randomly selected Greek Chapter that registers to participate by Feb. 2.
•    The top 5 Greek Chapters who achieve 25 or more donors, will earn an additional $200.

You must represent a student organization recognized with Student Leadership, Involvement, & Community Engagement to participate. Please register for Glow Big Red by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024!

What’s next:
1. We will confirm all student groups within a few days of registration. If you have not heard back within a week of registering, please contact Andrew Klinkenborg at andrew.klinkenborg@nufoundation.org

2. Via email, you will receive a Glow Big Red toolkit and a link to your fundraising page. Once you have this link, send it to your members, your alumni, parents, friends, etc., and be sure to post it to your social media accounts using #GlowBigRed

3. A representative from your group will also need to attend an informational online meeting in February (dates and times TBD).

Fees:
Student groups are advised that any funds raised through Glow Big Red are subject to advancement fees. Funds raised through this giving day will be available to student groups, less fees, approximately 45-60 days after the event.
